On olnud keeruline, kuid huvitav aeg ja mul on hea meel jagada mõningaid teadmisi teiega, mu kallid geopeituritest sõbrad. Ärge pahandage, et ülesanded kipuvad olema inglise keeles, kuid lennunduse keel on inglise keel ja nii on teil lihtsam leida vastuseid. Eestikeelsed tõlked on päris kummalised teinekord. Niisiis:

ATIS is Automatic Terminal Information Service. Before starting your plane or before planning landing, you have to listen information from there. It is fully automatic, every new information about conditions in airport will be given certain regulaity. Every new ATIS is marked by letter, you can hear it like – information Alfa (A) etc. Pilot must say back to air traffic controller letter, what information he/she has heard, to be sure, it was the latest information. ATIS is important, because after that you will know latest news about wind, visibility, bird activity, condition of runway, temperature, dewpoint, cloud layers and QNH (air pressure above mean sea level is QNH)
